This is probably the luckiest photo I have ever taken. Not only is it hard to predict when and where lightning will strike, but I made a rookie mistake that almost cost me the shot of a lifetime. My battery died and I didn't have a spare. I took the battery out, rubbed it frantically on my jeans to build up a charge, and jammed it back into my camera. If that hadn't worked I would have missed this shot.
Taken at Shelburne Farms back in 2007, "Lightning Over Lake Champlain" is my first stand out image.
I love recalling the story of this photo and I'm still enchanted by the image itself.
Unless specified otherwise, all metal prints come with a 3/4" wall float mount. It is an elegant means of displaying metal prints with absolutely no frame needed.
