As someone who is obsessed with beauitful imagery, sometimes I just gotta get up at 3:30am, drive close to an hour, and take multiple photos in single digit temps
to capture a new concept photo. This was one of those times.
This star trail effect is gained by taking dozens of consecutive photos over a long period of time, and combining them in post processing. The sky in this photo is actually 82 separate
exposures taken over 30 mins, each exposure being 30 seconds long. The field, barn, distant lights, hills, and mountain are one shot. A passing car lit up the barn nicely.
As the earth rotates the stars move across the night sky in a cylindrical motion. The axis of that cylinder shape is the Earth's poles. Kinda neat,
huh?
My hope is that this print will amaze and delight you in much the same way standing beneath the heavens affected me that morning. Cheers.
Unless specified otherwise, all metal prints come with a 3/4" wall float mount. It is an elegant means of displaying metal prints with absolutely no frame needed.
