A Guy

As a native Vermonter, I always felt a strong connection to the Land. Growing up in Shelburne, VT I often went on hiking excursions, and trips to national parks with my parents. And I delighted in time spent at my grandparents’s rustic log cabin in the country. The time outdoors cultivated a love of photographing landscapes, and eventually prompted me to earn an Associates of Science in Digital from Briarcliffe College in New York. I have been exhibiting my artwork successfully at galleries and craft events since 2015.

My passion is for the places we live in and the mark we leave on the land. I strives to help people see the importance of places and the gift of living within such a beautiful natural world. Whether you live in a big city high rise, a quiet country homestead, or anything in between, I hope my artwork calls you home to nature.

A Dog

Ollie, my constant canine companion, is one lucky dog. We live off the grid and frequently travel to many amazing places. From Vermont to Florida, and Arizona to Oregon, Ollie has chased countless chipmunks, squirrels, ducks, birds and rabbits.

He also leads the way on photo excursions as my expedition leader, and accompanies me at arts festivals as my director or barketing and top sales dog.

I had his likeness portrayed on my logo since he is such an integral part of my life and business.

I painted my van myself and use it to display some of my photography.

and a Van

My “van life” adventures began in July of 2018 with the purchase of a Mercedes Sprinter Van.  Thru many iterations I have gradually converted the cargo van I purchased into an off grid home on wheels. I insulated with natural wool battings, and used cedar tongue and grove lumber for the walls. I have 380 Watts of Solar on the roof. My home includes a bed, a “garage”, a kitchen, and more in just 90 square feet. And best of all my home goes with me anywhere I go. Pretty darn sweet if I do say so myself.

The van life allows me to travel at my leisure without the expense of motels, or the hassle of reservations. There is a good deal of float in my plans, and that flexibility allows me to take as long as needed to get the perfect shot in some of the most remote places in the USA. It’s also nice that I have no lawn to mow.

Like anything in life, my nomadic adventure is not perfect, but for me it sure beats stationary living. I hope to live nomadically for many years to come.
